Description

The Ganaraska Loop utilizes all or some of these sections…Oro-Medonte, Barrie, Mad River, Wasaga Beach, Tiny and Midland. Download the ONDAGO app for maps. The entire loop is white blazed. Barrie and Mad River sections are part of the main Ganaraska Trail. The others are considered side trails but are still white blazed. Start anywhere on the loop you’d like:)

This loop has a mix of everything. Single and double track, unmaintained roads, paved road connectors, rail trail and paved pathways. You will see the countryside and also some beautiful towns. You will hike near the beach, on waterfronts, through a marsh, through many forests and more. This loop showcases Simcoe County very well.

There are plenty of water sources on route, also options for resupply and accommodations if that’s your thing. I hope others can take this one on since it’s logistically a great one! Enjoy…
