I tried this route last weekend and would not recommend it! Although there are cairns in the canyon the start of the downclimb from the white rim is not marked. It is a steep and dangerous route and is not on the NPS or even Gaia. It can also contribute to erosion so after seeing the route firsthand I can’t in good conscience try it again. Gooseberry to white rim is certainly worth doing, though!Â
