The "GR® Trail of the Trappist Abbeys of Wallonia" links the three Walloon abbeys where Trappist beers are brewed: Orval Abbey, Notre-Dame de Saint-Remy Abbey in Rochefort and Scourmont Abbey in Chimay.
These Trappist abbeys produce top-fermented, unpasteurized beers, refermented in the bottle and brewed in accordance with the ancient brewing traditions developed by the monks.
There are only twelve Trappist beers in the world. In Wallonia, Rochefort, Orval and Chimay are the jewels of this ancestral know-how.
These Walloon Trappist breweries are listed as UNESCO's cultural and intangible heritage sites.

The full route is approximate 272 km and with 5700 meter of elevation. It is also possible to do one of the two sections Chimay-Rochefort (156 km) or Rochefort-Orval (116 km) (to and from the abbeys).
