The Greina Alta trek leads from Curaglia (Disentis) to Zervreila (Vals).
The tour is all about the number 3, crossing a unique high alpine region with 3 SAC huts, 3 cultures and 3 languages, all under the spell of 3 mighty peaks - the Piz Medel, the Piz Terri and the Zervreilahorn.
A highlight of the trek is the crossing of the famous Greina Plain: an absolutely unique plateau that connects the canton of Ticino and the canton of Graubünden and stretches for six kilometres at an altitude of over 2200 metres. It is a protected alpine tundra that is listed in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments (BLN) and is therefore also of narional importance.
