Description

Brocéliande is an iconic French forest in the Brittany region in north west France. It is made famous by its rich history of the Legend King Arthur and the sword Excalibur, Merlin the Enchanter and the Knight Lancelot.

The route takes a full circular tour of this magnificent deciduous forest. It is mainly on forest paths and tracks with rocky outcrops - it passes lakes, castles and ancient tombs.

The start (and finish) is easily accessible by public transport, however the route itself is remote from services, adding to the challenge it provides! This link is to the official GR (Grande Randonnée) website which outlines the route and can help with planning.
