Helags can have very harsh weather and there is no protection on the summit. You will travel in some areas with no people and no trails. Loose rocky and technical terrain and some ridges can feel airy. I would only recommend this adventure for experienced runners.
Start at the parking at Kläppen. Follow the summer trail to Helags Mountain station. From the hut marked trail up to Helags summit. From the summit west direction on the riged all the way down into the valley to 1100m elevation. In the valley aim north west to closest ridge. Scramble up the loose ridge and enjoy the views. Up to the summit on 1636 m. Easiest running on the edge, not that rocky. Down south east in the saddle valley aim to the Helags summit. 2nd time summit! Follow the north unmarked trail (enjoy the airy view of the edge). Follow the trail down to the official marked Helags summit trail and hike that up again to the summit. Helags 3rd time! Back the same marked trail to the mountain station. Follow back the marked summer trail to kläppen. Finished 👍
