The Hereward Way is a long-distance route across the East of England, named after the legendary Anglo-Saxon rebel Hereward the Wake. Stretching from Oakham in Rutland to Knettishall Heath in Breckland, the path crosses a varied landscape of rolling countryside, ancient woodland, fenland, and historic villages. The route reflects the story of resistance after the Norman Conquest and offers runners a rich mix of history, wildlife, and expansive rural scenery.
