Description

This route is a real classic. Starting in Munich's "Hausberge" on the shores of the Walchensee, it climbs almost 1,000 meters in altitude over steep trails to the summit of the Herzogstand. To strike the summit cross is obligatory here but not mandatory. The following 2.5 kilometers are predetermined by the ridge. Demanding it goes over to the summit of the Heimgarten. From there again steeply down (with a short counter ascent) to Walchensee. In summary: Up, summit, ridge, summit, down! Pure skyrunning!

Note: This route is usually very busy. Make sure to start anticyclically (early morning or late evening, weekdays etc..).

Start and finish is in Walchensee at the hiking parking lot Am Tanneck.
