Hyssna is located in southern Västergötland in the municipality of Mark, about 45 km from Gothenburg.
Hyssna is known for its varied nature.
I the southern parts are cultivated landscapes with great natural and beauty values, but also deciduous forests and even a southern Swedish beech forest. In the north there are wilderness nature with large coniferous forest areas and mosses.
The approximately 40 km long Hyssnal trail takes you around in all these environments. The trail follows, among other things, the fertile valley of Surtan, which once was a powerful sea fjord. Along the members there are signs that provide information about nature and culture.
