The route will start from the inside the park after entering through the Lake Louise park entry gates at the beginning of the southern end of the Icefields parkway.
The route will then follow the main highway all the way from the Lake Louise park gates north all the way to Jasper and finish at the very end of the Icefields parkway road at the traffic lights and junction where Icefields parkway ends and Connought drive begins.
This route is one of the most beautiful highways in the world with incredible mountain views from start to finish. There is lots of wildlife along the route and also various changes in elevation make for all kinds of weather throughout the duration of the parkway.
Icefields Parkway - Banff National Park
A national park pass is required for all travel on this scenic parkway.
There is no cell coverage on the Icefields Parkway and services are available June through September.
