"Jærstrendene på langs" runs through some of Norways most beautiful beaches on the south west of Norway. It's a frequent hiking area for the lokals, as well a big tourist attraction for visitors. Jærstrendene is internationaly famous for its amazing surfing conditions, and has the status as a national park with several bird nesting sones. Jærstrendene is mostly covered by sand dunes or rolling rocks.
No one has covered the whole distance in one push before, even though it is one of the most known landscapes in Norway. There are trails covering most of the FKT that travels from one historic area to another. And on the day I ran the FKT, I would estimate to have run past up to a thousand people just on that day due to the popular nature of the area.
