A full lap of Jeju Island following the well marked and serviced Jeju Olle Trail. A perfect FKT route which I was surprised not to find on your website. The blue-line 210km route around the island regularly sees fast attempts by Korean runners but this route offers a significantly better trail (maintained by Jeju Olle), 4000m more elevation gain and a much harder challenge.
I have almost finished scouting the entire route before my attempt which has taken 15 days already. The GPX above has a few minor mistakes where I missed a turning and backtracked, I will be able to provide a perfect file after I complete the attempt.
To make this a complete route I have opted to avoid using alternates (15B, 7.1, 18.1, 10.1…) and bonus sections of the Olle which require catching ferries and using busses. This proposed FKT route follows the routes 1-21 using the A option in every case and linking the two gaps by the shortest route possible.
The trail is roughly 60% tarmac and concrete following backroads, the rest of it follow amazing single track and gravel roads. I suggest that part of the FKT is making use of the Olle Stamps totalling 63 stamps in the official Jeju Olle passport across the 21 stages.
This is a running/hiking FKT route.
I am unsure of what additional data to provide or images to upload. I hope this is sufficient.
