Route: Jones Gap State Park - Oconee State Park (NC, SC)

The goal of this route is to connect via trail Jones Gap State Park with Oconee State Park while passing through the beautiful Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area and Caesars Head State Park. Connecting these 3 state parks completely by trail can be done utilizing rugged and technical trails without requiring the use of any roads apart from road crossings. This route passes over numerous small SC mountains along the way including Little Pinnacle Mountain, Cathedral Rock, Doves Mountain and Big Spring Mountain before reaching the highest point in SC, Sassafras Mountain, and continuing on the Foothills Trail to Oconee State Park.
