Créé en 1980, « La Transardennaise » est le premier grand itinéraire de randonnée GTA (Grande Traversée des Ardennes) traversant l’Ardenne : un itinéraire pédestre balisé reliant La Roche-en-Ardenne à Bouillon, en passant notamment par Saint-Hubert et Nassogne.
Considéré comme l’un des plus beaux itinéraires de randonnée en Belgique, La Transardennaise traverse les forêts de l’Ardenne authentique, des vallées splendides (la Lesse, l’Ourthe et la Semois) et des paysages enchanteurs du Luxembourg belge.

Created in 1980, « La Transardennaise » is the first great trekking itinerary GTA (standing for Grande Traversée des Ardennes) crossing the Ardenne region : a marked pedestrian itinerary connecting La Roche-en-Ardenne to Bouillon, passing by Saint-Hubert and Nassogne.
Considered as one of the most iconic trekking itinerary of Belgium, the Transardennaise passes through authentic Ardenne forests, splendid valleys (of Lesse, Ourthe and Semois rivers) and charming landscapes of the Belgian Luxembourg region.
Please note that there is a path for the walking/hiking/running and also for cycling, which are not the same all the way, but do differ at some stretches. The uploaded GPX is the correct walking route.
