Location
British Columbia, CA
Distance
18.5 km
Vertical Gain
1,523 m
Description

This 18.5km loop is located in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park (Sxotsaqel in the Halkomelem language of the Indigenous, Sto:lo people) and features 1513m of elevation gain. Trail features on this route include technical single track for the entire route, except where it is instead large boulder fields that make the time often required for this route understandable. After only 3km you will run alongside the pristine turquoise Lindeman lake, a popular hikers destination, and carry onto Greendrop lake. The trail veers up and away before you catch views of Greendrop, but those can be taken in later on during your climb. The trail continues through dense forest alongside Flora lake and then climbs up and eventually a short but steep out and back will take you to the summit of Flora Peak (required for the FKT!). This summit requires some degree of way finding and, of course, a few more boulders.  From here it is all downhill, with 6km downhill and all 1500 meters of elevation loss.
