A circa 80km waymarked pilot section of the Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail connecting you to some of the National Forest sites in South Wales.
You will see the variety of woodlands and forests, from mixed broadleaf through to productive forests.
This route has been years in the making and become a government officially funded trail, connecting all the forests of South Wales together. The forests connect Brecon (Historic Mountains of South/Mid Wales) to the Valleys and Hills of South Wales all the way to the sea.
It is the first National Wooded Trail. It winds its way up from Waterfall Country and through the Dare Valley, through historic Valley Towns, moving into Smilog Woods and then traverses the Vale of Glamorgan to Porthkerry beach, the most southern in Mainland Wales, next to Rhoose Point.
