An incredibly popular cycling climbing route in Golden, CO.  This climb rewards runners with beautiful views of the surrounding area including North Table, South Table, Mount Galbraith and Downtown Golden.  It is composed of many switchbacks and an average grade of 5% on the way up.  This grade will test your ability to keep running and will challenge you to test your leg speed on the way down.

Route Description:

This route starts just uphill of Beverly Heights Park on Lookout Mountain at the vertical columns (see photo).  From there the route heads straight uphill on Lookout Mountain Road for 4.67 miles. It turns around at the top of Lookout Mountain Park Lot (see photo with Lookout Mountain Park Green sign).  This is just past the Buffalo Bill museum lot so make sure you go all the way.  Once you hit the Lookout Mountain Park Lot, turn around and head back down.

While the segment doesn't match the route perfectly it gets pretty close.  Only the start and finish are slightly off of well established markers.
