Highest mountain in Ireland outside of Co. Kerry and the highest peak in the province of Leinster.
Fenton's Pub route.
Start at the car park behind Fenton's Pub follow the road/trail uphill. This trail takes you onto Military Road. The area around this route is an artilery range for the Irish Army, be sure to check on their website about dates the range is in use and never go beyond the warning signage posted. The road leads to a hill straight in front called Camera Hill, follow the trail up. Above Camera hill, follow the boggy terrain and obvious path of downhill water flow all the way to the bottom of the final steep climb to the summit. Above the final steep climb is a plateau like summit, continue uphill to reach the Cairn obviously marking the true summit. Retrace your route back to the start.
