Description

The "Markräfler Wiiwegli" is a hiking trail of about 90 km in southern Germany. "Wiiwegli" is a expression in the regional dialect for the german word "Weinweg" which means wine path. Starting in Freiburg St. georgen it crosses the vineyards and villages of the region "Markgräflerland" between the Black forest and the river Rhine and ends in Grenzach-Whylen. The trail is maintained by the german Black Forest Association. It exists since 1976 and the route was changed several times during it's existence. Since 2016 it ends at the train station Grenzach. The trail connects to the two hiking trails "Breisgauer Weinweg" and "Ortenauer Weinpfad" in northern direction.
