McConnells Mill State Park Traverse

Route Description

The McConnells Mill State Park Traverse is a point-to-point trail running route showcasing the park's rugged beauty along Slippery Rock Creek. The course follows a mix of technical singletrack, rocky ridgelines, steep hillside traverses, and scenic creekside trails before finishing on the opposite end of the park.

This route highlights the park's signature terrain—challenging climbs, rocky descents, exposed roots, sandstone outcroppings, and spectacular overlooks. The constant changes in elevation and technical footing make it an excellent test of speed, endurance, and trail-running skill despite its moderate distance.
