Description

57km, average elevation 4000m with a high point of 4900m, this is one of China's most popular multi-day hiking routes and usually takes hikers 5 days. The route starts from Lao Yulin Dam, goes to Gonga Monastery, and finishes at Zimei village. The mountain can be either called Gongga or Minya Konka. It’s a one way route that circles around half of the mountain (the west side) ("kora" is a Tibetan circumnavigation around an entire holy peak).

Mount Gongga / Minya Konka (24,790'), is the highest mountain in Sichuan province, China. It is also known to locals as "The King of Sichuan Mountains".
