Description

This route runs from Montreux, on the shores of Lake Geneva, to the summit of Moléson, an iconic peak in Gruyère.

It begins at the Freddie Mercury statue by the lake, then winds through Montreux’s streets before entering the Gorges du Chauderon, following the river and cascades up to Les Avants. From there, the trail takes the Chemin des Narcisses, a beautiful forest trail, then briefly follows the road before diving back into the forest toward La Goille aux Serfs. The path goes to the Soladier pass, marking the border between Vaud and Fribourg, before descending on the Chemin des Guedères, along the green pastures and cows, to la Saletta. From here, the route ascends to Teysachaux, then follows the ridge to Moléson’s summit.

This route was designed to highlight some of the most beautiful trails between Montreux and Moléson.
