This route pieces together all of the carriage trails in Moses H. Cone Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 294).
There is a large network of trails in the area and some debate locally about which trails to include, therefore the official map on the National Park Services website can be used as the guide. There will be variation in length depending on how a person attempts to connect all of the trails and where they choose to start and end. This route also includes many unofficial shortcuts that connect curves in the trail. Stay on the trail. This prevents erosion but it will also keep distances and times in the same ball park. Out and backs are inevitable and overlapping will be necessary in order to piece together all of the carriage trails. Refer to the official map to ensure that you are not taking shortcuts or trails that are otherwise not included in this route.
