The trail to the Easton Glacier (the main variation listed) begins at the Park Butte trailhead (3,360 ft) and winds through a well maintained forested trail before gaining the subalpine railroad grade ridge to Sandy Camp. From there the route ascends through a mixture of rocks and snow before reaching the glacier. The upper 1/3 of this route navigates cravasses and snow slopes of the Easton Glacier. The final push to the summit plateau ascends the Roman Wall. The summit is 10,781 ft above sea level. Mount Baker is one of the 5 volcanoes in Washington and has the heaviest glacier cover of the Cascade Range volcanoes.
