Route: Mount Teneriffe (WA)

Location
Washington, US
Distance
4 mi
Description

This iconic Cascade peak is a favorite among Seattle-area locals due to it's proximity to the city and steep, challenging terrain. It is a nearby neighbor of the immensely popular Mt. Si, and a variety of options exist to reach the summit. The two most typical routes start from either the new trailhead parking lot, or the Kamikaze trail starting at gravel lot at the end of the road. By either trail, runners generally ascend past Teneriffe Falls and up the steep ridge to the summit, for a total of approximately 3.6 miles and 3,800ft of elevation gain. Strava segments exist for both the route from the new trailhead (https://www.strava.com/segments/15324014) and the classic Kamikaze trail (https://www.strava.com/segments/5946466).
