A 50 km (31 mi) point-to-point route from Beaconsfield to the summit of Mount Royal in Montreal, with roughly 407 m of elevation gain. I created this GPX route for the Mount Royal Summit Quest (MRSQ), a course that's well known among local ultrarunners but deserves to be known far beyond the city — it's arguably one of the most beautiful long routes the island has to offer.
Since 2003, this course (and its 100K extension) has been the site of an unofficial "fat ass" gathering — an old-school, low-fee, no-road-closure event where road runners and ultrarunners simply show up and run it together. It went dormant after 2019 but is returning in October 2026.

The route is described as one of the most beautiful road routes in Montreal.
FKT Guidelines regarding race courses: A supported FKT can be set during a race. To set a new supported FKT on a race course, an athlete must improve on the existing course record; please research course records before submitting a supported FKT on a race course.
Unsupported: Spectating pre-arranged by an athlete is supportive—including photographers and drone operators, even if remote—and was classified as support starting February 4, 2021.
