Mt Erie is a popular rock climbing destination located within city limits of Anacortes, WA but also has some sweet trails. The summit trail includes beautiful flowing single track along with steep but runnable climbs and descents. The summit offers gorgeous views of the surrounding ocean, islands and land. You can also drive to the summit so you will see lots of folks up there wondering where you came from if you do this run. Running up it was more rewarding than driving would be! I was surprised not to see an FKT route for this summit so I figured, why not add one?! It's a nice rewarding jaunt if you're in the area! The trails are quite confusing so downloading a .GPX file of the route and/or following the Trail Run Project app directions is a good idea.
