Description

Mt. Major is located in Alton, NH. It sits in the eastern edge of the Belknap Range and is the most popular mountain in the area. Redlining it consists of hiking all 4 trails that reach the summit in a continuous hike, in any particular order. The trails include The Main Trail, Brook Trail, Boulder Trail, and Beaver Pond Trail. The idea is basically to hike to the summit on one trail hike back on another, hike up again on a third and back down on the forth. It is therefore required that you hit the summit twice and return twice (in the middle and at the end) to the trail head (Mt. Major TH at parking lot). There is already an FKT route on the Major trail.
