The Munda Biddi is a long-distance trail stretching more than 1,000 km from Mundaring in the Perth Hills to Albany on Western Australia’s south coast. Its name means “path through the forest” in the Noongar language. The route traverses the Darling Range and southern forests, passing through eucalypt bushland, granite outcrops and coastal landscapes on a mixture of purpose-built singletrack, forest tracks and roads.
Although developed as an off-road cycling trail, this FKT listing is exclusively for attempts completed entirely on foot, by running or hiking. Cycling attempts are not eligible.
The standard route covers the full trail between Mundaring and Albany.
Historical variation: Andy Hewat completed the approximately 550 km trail on foot in March 2012, before its extension to Albany. His time is retained under a separate historical variation and is not directly comparable with attempts on the full route.
