Route: Natur-Erlebnisweg Schinderhannes (Germany)

The Schinderhannes nature adventure trail extends over 30 kilometers on the northern edge of the Soonwald between Gemünden and Rheinböllen. At designated hiking parking lots, there are entry options for sections of the path.

The path offers grandiose views from the keep of the Koppenstein castle ruins, from the observation tower of the Hochsteinchen and from many other lookout points.

Untouched parts of the landscape such as the water cascades and Rosselhalden of the Lametbachtal alternate with cultural landscapes such as the Argenthaler Waldsee, a former iron ore mine that has been renatured as a bathing lake.

Numerous information on the natural and cultural history of the Soonwald as well as sunny benches await you along the Schinderhannes nature discovery trail.

Five adventure stations invite you to discover and try out. In the villages on the hiking trail there are various options for refreshments or overnight stays.
