The Ring Road is one of the most iconic roads in Delhi. Originally built as a road encircling the city of New Delhi, the Ring Road travels through some of the oldest and most culturally diverse localities in the city, and holds special significance in the lives of Delhiites.
As the city expanded, 2 more ring roads were built (the Outer Ring Road, which led to the original Ring Road becoming the Inner Ring Road; and the third, most recent, ring road comprising of the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways) to cater to the needs of the ever-expanding National Capital Region of India.
