Absolutely stunning route with an excellent combination of everything that makes a trail run in SWBC fun. Steep climbs, rolling forest paths and meadows, creek crossings, a bit of routefinding and excellent scrambling to top it all off. Also its only 30 minutes from Squamish and any vehicle can park right at the trailhead.
If timed right you wont have to cross any snow on route, there will be minimal bugs and you’ll run into minimal people until the descent. You'll find plenty of water on route to refill.
One note for the summit scramble is you'll downclimb into a notch to cross over to the “crux” chimneys, just look left after the downclimb and you'll see the chimneys marked clearly with stones.
From AllTrails:
"During the final ascent it can be easy to lose the trail but there are cairns along the way. If the glacier persists across the trail, crampons and an ice axe are highly recommended to safely cross. The final scramble after the crux can be hard to find. From the summit there are unbelievable 360-degree views of the Sunshine Coast mountains and Mount Tantalus!"
