The Pacific Marine Circle Trail Route is located in the lower Vancouver Island. It starts from Sooke BC, runs up to Jordan River and then jumps into the Juan de Fuca trail, after which it crosses the lower island to Cowichan Lake and traverses down all the way to Langford, and then finishes the loop running through the Sooke Hills. It is a combination of paved road, paved trails, and raw bushy, west coasty trails. Its a one in a lifetime challenge for any ultrarunner or hiker who want to experience the BC west coast at its finest.
Additional Notes:
The fairly well known route is indeed the paved biking route. The route submitter transferred most of the run to adjacent trails so users can run it safely and challenge themselves with a little more elevation gain.
The only paved routes in the road with no adjacent trails, users could use is the section from Sooke to the start of the Juan de Fuca trail at China Beach trailhead, and the section from the end of the Juan de Fuca trail at botanical beach trailhead in Port Renfrew to Chowican Lake.
The rest of the route is on trails including the Juan de Fuca Trail, Cowichan valley Trail and trails within the Sooke Hills Wilderness Park and the Sea to Sea regional park.
Cell reception is good except in certain sections of the bushy Juan de Fuca trail and on the road from Port Renfrew to Cowichan Lake.
No website yet other than the provincial government websites for the Juan de fuca trail, sooke hills wilderness park, and Sea to sea regional park.
