This challenging and breathtaking circuit takes in all the accessible passes of the spectacular upper Grose Valley, one of the most dramatic and iconic landscapes of the Greater Blue Mountains. The route links together the valley’s major entry and exit points — each with its own character, terrain, and views — while respecting current closures (Rodriguez Pass remains permanently closed). Note: Govetts Leap may be added as a route variation in future when open.
The route can begin at either of the four carparks:
- Perry's Lookout
- Pierce's Pass
- Victoria Falls
- Evans Lookout
You must visit each carpark at the top of the pass + cairn at top of Lockley's Pylon. The starting point and order you choose to attempt the passes is up to you. You must finish where you started.
This route is a true showcase of the Grose Valley’s grandeur — steep climbs, deep forest, sweeping vistas, and an ever-present sense of wild isolation. It’s a serious undertaking for experienced trail runners with strong navigation, endurance, and respect for the rugged terrain of the Blue Mountains.
