Description

Washington State in the Cascade Range.

White Pass to Chinook Pass along the PCT section I, between HWYs 410 and 12. One should not have to cross the roads to complete the route.

One of the most scenic parts of section I of the PCT with views of Mount Rainier, high mountain lakes, stream crossings, shade and exposed areas. Mosquitoes can be problematic in the summer! The trail is well groomed, but due to it's high elevation only open from late spring or early summer, to fall when snow covers the trail.

Check with local NF before attempting and acquire permits when necessary. The FKT can be completed in either direction.
