Przejscie Kotliny Jeleniogórskiej can be translated as "Passage of the Jeleniogórska Valley".
The official page of the route (in polish): https://przejsciekotliny.org/
The route is used for cyclic touristic event which happen every September. The event is devoid of competition - unless you consider the fight against your own weaknesses as such ;-). Idea providers do not measure time, there is no classification or prizes. The crossing is not a run, nor a competition - it is a social and hiking event 🙂 Those who reach the finish line get only a certificate of completion.
The idea of the Passage is to cover the route on your own, without using any means of transportation, carrying the necessary equipment and food on your own back. Getting to know the mountains and admiring them while walking. Testing your limits of endurance and mental toughness. Working with a paper map and orienting yourself in the terrain. Being non-competitive and wanting to meet new people and hiking together and helping others when needed.
There is no official gpx track of the route. The route is not difficult to navigate - it mostly leads along hiking trails. The route is not marked by us in the field. For the most part, it leads along hiking trails marked by PTTK (touristic national organization). The rest of it leads by roads and paths - we need to use a map.
One of the GPX tracks recorded by previous hikers for this route was shared on the traceo.pl site and available here:

This round trip route is available for all seasons however winter can be challanging.
Pictures shared with this route/passage comes from official route site and the authors are hikers who already passed the route.
The challenge for coming years is to pass it in FKT Unsupported formula.
