The Pujada a Coll de Pal is the ascent to Coll de Pal, a high mountain pass located in the Pyrenees of Catalonia, connecting Bagà (in Berguedà) with the Pla de Moixeró, at an altitude of around 2,070 metres.
It is considered one of the hardest and most iconic road climbs in the Catalan Pyrenees. The ascent is relatively short compared to Alpine giants, but extremely demanding due to its very steep gradients, long sections consistently above double‑digit slopes, and the altitude, which adds an extra layer of difficulty for athletes.
Because of these characteristics, Coll de Pal has become a legendary reference point for cyclists, runners and endurance athletes, similar to what Alpe d’Huez or Mont Ventoux represent in other regions.
