Route: Raccoon Mountain Loop

Raccoon Mountain is the Tennessee Valley Authority's largest hydroelectric facility. Water is pumped to the lake in times of cheap energy and the water is let out through the hydroelectric generator in times of need. This route takes you around the lake and up and down the slopes of Raccoon Mountain. Start and end points are not important as long as the entire loop is undertaken. This is one of the more elevation heavy routes in the area.
