Description

This FKT route follows the old Eastern Railway line through scenic Perth Hills bushland and rolling terrain, forming a continuous 41 km loop from Bellevue around to Mt Helena and back. The trail is wide and easy to follow.

Key features include:

  • Swan View Tunnel: A historic 340 m rail tunnel carved through the Darling Range — a signature point along the route.

  • Golden Pipeline alignment: Sections parallel to the iconic Goldfields Water Supply Scheme pipeline add heritage interest and variety.

  • Natural highlights: Expect scenic bushland, opportunities to spot native wildlife, vibrant wildflowers in season, and seasonal waterfalls especially after rain.

Start/Finish is allowed at any of the multiple trailheads (Bellevue, Mundaring, Glen Forrest, Parkerville, Mt Helena)
