Reflection Canyon has become an iconic landmark in the Utah desert in recent years. It is a popular spot for backpacking, hiking, and photography. And, it can be ran as a day trip or in a few hours as well. What makes Reflection Canyon iconic is the view you are treated to at the end, with S-shaped sandstone curves towering above Lake Powell. The entirety of the run is beautiful, with Arizona's sacred Navajo Mountain dominating the skyline on the run down. Most of the run is on a fairly defined singletrack trail, with the last mile and a half or so requiring runners to navigate the slickrock using cairns. Be sure to enjoy the view for a few seconds before quickly turning around. Make sure to bring enough water or start early enough to beat the heat, as there are no water sources out there. Enjoy!
