Description

Rocky Peak park and the surrounding area has some of the best Southern California trails. Filming of Mandalorian season 2 episode 6 was done along the hummingbird trail.

Start at Rocky Peak Trail parking and head up  the rocky peak trail towards the summit. Just before 2 miles take the trail on the right hand side that heads to be summit. Once at the summit turn around and head back down taking the other summit trail to the right and back out to the main Rocky peak trail. Once back on the main trail go 3/4 of a mile up to the junction with the Johnson motorway and take a right. Stay on that for almost 3 miles until it dead ends into Johnson Mountain way. Go about .2 of a mile down the road and turn left on the Santa Susana Pass trail. The Santa susana pass trail meets the devils canyon motorway after about a quarter of a mile. Turn left and head up devils canyon for 3.5 miles. When you reach the dirt road at the top turn left and after about .3 you will reach a junction where you turn right on Las Llajas. Stay on Las Llajas for a bit over 4 miles. Before you reach the road take a left on the unmaintained trail that heads uphill to the ridge. Take the unmaintained trail for almost 3 miles back to the main Rocky peak trail and turn right. Stay on the Rocky peak trail for almost a mile and then turn right on the Chumash trail. Head down for 2.5 miles and take a left down about .1 to Flanagan drive. Almost immediately after reaching Flanagan make another left and get onto the trail the wraps behind Mt Sanai park and after about a mile reaches Mt Saini drive. Go about .2 until it dead ends into Kuehler drive. Go another .2ish up Kuehler drive and turn right onto the hummingbird trail. Stay on the Hummingbird trail all the way back to the main Rocky peak trails. On hummingbird trail after about half mile stay right and don’t head towards swing cave. There are many junctions but just stay straight in most cases and stay on the most well traveled trail. Once you reach the main trail turn right and just take it 3/4 of a mile back to the car.
