Route: Rostushe to Big Korab 2764mnv in one day

ТRAVERSE

ROSTUSHE TO PEAK KORAB IN ONE DAY

First known traverse from Rostushe, western Macedonia to the most beautiful peaks in Krchin, Deshat and Korab mountains.

Start from Rostushe 789 m. The trails go to wild wood, not marked already, go to the place called Olec in 1020 m ( where my friend from North Macedonia do Everesting last year )  then go to mountain house in 1100 m, then again go to the wild wood not marked trail, and finaly we go to the marked trails from Bitushe to Peak Krchin ( in the middle ). After that you must follow the trail to the peak Big Krchin 2341 m, then go  to marked trail again, 300/ 400 m downhill and again follow the marks and visit the peak Velivar 2373m. Aftert that we downhill 700 m to Big Zirovnica Mountain, we rest 1 h there and again we move to north, to the pass Skrtec 2042m. The trail go from Skrtec to Supja Stena 2431m. This is the most difficult part of the traverce becouse it was 80 % uphill. Then downhill near the peak 400 m. After that follow the trail again to Ciganski premin and Izgrevno lake in 2200 m, then peak Boazi 2518m. We downhill a 600m from here, and go to Projfel – the biggest waterfall in Balkan ( 134 m ) in Deep river,, and follow the trail to Small Korab 2683m. After that the trail go to Golemo Korabska stena, and finally trail to BIG KORAB 2764m – the highest peak in North Macedonia and Albania. After that follow the trail again to Strezimir for 10 km and finish the traverce . Officialy Karaula Strezimir is starting point to the PEAK BIG KORAB and there is police station when you need registration for your climb there.
