This route starts in the Cree Nation of Chisasibi, the community at the very north-western end of Quebec road network and goes upstream the Big River until Radisson, home of the biggest hydro electric power plant in Quebec. It cruises along the boreal forest, winter home of Leaf River caribou herd.
This route is completely remote, does not have cell network on most of its central part and you will meet only few cars and trucks. The road is 100% paved and benefits from a large gravel shoulder. There is no possibility to fuel up on the way but Radisson is home to all the services your need.
