Partner trail of the EifelSteig
The Rur-Olef-Route is an addition to the EifelSteig in the North Eifel. As a result of combining this route with the EifelSteig you have a looped tour that can be booked as a package deal.
The 37km long Rur-Olef-Route goes from Gemünd via Schleiden to Hellenthal, and from there to Einruhr. Along the way, you will experience the beauty of the Olef valley and the open landscapes.
Highlights along the route
Attractions like the Schleiden castle church and the outdoor enclosure Hellenthal Bird of Prey Compound with its famous bird of prey show enrich your hike. From Ein-ruhr, it is a 20km hike back to Gemünd on the EifelSteig.
