Description

The Sea to Sky Highway, also known as Highway 99, is a scenic route in British Columbia, Canada, connecting Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler to the interior mountains. This popular road trip offers breathtaking views of steep fjords, waterfalls, and alpine forests, featuring many provincial parks, hiking trails, and viewpoints along the way. It is the route of the iconic RBC Gran Fondo, one of North America's largest cycling races.

On September 5th, 2024, HIS MAJESTY THE KING IN RIGHT OF THE PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, as represented by the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure issued a Special Event Permit to Matt Christopherson, granting the use of highway right of way to run 125 kilometres from Vancouver to Whistler, B.C. for the purposes of Project 125, a charitable initiative raising funds for a two-time Olympian and her fight against breast cancer.
