The route starts at the hiking trail indicator next to the road/parking at Schwägalp (near cable car). It follows the most direct, red-white marked, hiking trail all the way to the summit of Säntis (2502 m). The last part of the route (approx. 50 m d+) is completed by entering the hikers' tunnel into the building at the summit, and following the stairs (indoors) to the highest point of the visitors' terrace. It is the most popular route to this summit, and nearly all of it is covered by a Strava segment called "Schwägalp - Säntis".
