Description

The Snowies Alpine Walk is a brand new walk in Kosciuszko National Park

As described from Guthega to Bullocks Flat, the Route starts from Guthega with the sound of the snowmelt flowing through the iconic Snowy River and views of the Main Range. The trail crosses Australia’s highest suspension bridge over Spencers Creek.

The Route then passes over the Main Range loop and crosses the Snowy River before climbing to the Blue Lake. You then cross Carruthers Peak and pass Lake Albina before summiting Mount Kosciuszko then past historic Seamans Hut to finish the loop.

You then go down through Charlotte Pass Village and Perisher Valley onto the new section of the trail, with views of the Monaro Plain and Ramshead Range before finishing along the Thredbo River at Bullocks Flat.

You can start the out and back variation from either Guthega or Bullocks Flat.
