"The province of Flemish Brabant is the smallest province in Flanders in terms of area, but you will find the most varied landscapes. The eastern part of the province is better known as the Hageland. The walking area is composed of iron sandstone ridges between Leuven and Aarschot, heavy sandy loam soils in the south, and forests and green valleys of the meandering rivers Grote and Kleine Gete, Velp and Demer. GR Hageland is a 153 long waymarked and described Great Route Path in a large loop that explores Hageland's outskirts."
