Description

Jostedal Glacier or Jostedalsbreen (Norwegian) is the largest glacier in continental Europe. This is where it all begins.

Starting point
The starting point is located at the end of the road named Oldedalsvegen, where the road turns into a track. This is where you also find Melkevoll Bretun - Camping & Cabins, a suitable place to rest and stay the night.

The first leg is from Oldedalen to Stardalen,  through the well known Oldeskaret.
Then from Stardalen to Skei via Steinbotnen and Fossheimsdalen.
Third leg will take you from the small town Skei to the cabin Longevasshytta (DNT).

The fourth leg will take you to the city of Førde. This is done on the ridge Høgeheia

Now there are more dirt tracks than tracks to walk on. South of Hafstadfjellet and south of Kvamshesten. Up into the mountains again to the cabin Massbu(DNT) and Nipebu(DNT). The final leg will take you to the small town Holmedal.

Finish

Where the dirt road ends and the paved road starts.
This is next to the farm Fossheim in Holmedal - Askvoll
