Fingertrip (5.7) is an ultra classic climb up the west face of Tahquitz Rock. This climb boasts 400ft of high quality crack climbing and great exposure. It was first climbed by Chuck Wilts, Don Gillespie & Jerry Rosenblatt in September 1946. At the time that was quite the cutting edge feat!
The route begins and ends at the Humber Park Trailhead sign. There are a few ways to get to the route so choose wisely. Ascend Fingertrip and climb to the summit of Tahquitz rock. From there descend any way you wish. I chose to downclimb the Trough 5.4, this is most likely the fastest and certainly the most fun way to descend. Enjoy!
